The sign on site reads:
The Building is made of bricks with a stone basement; The nave is covered by a saddle roof and decorated by a window with two lights in the fascade and by garret arches icorporating Islamic and Pisan Ceramic basins from the XIII century (imitations; originals are kept in the Museum of San Matteo). The brick bell tower (1236) with monofore suspended on a column inside is unusual. It was almost totally rebuilt after WWII damages. Inside is kept "Martyrdom of St. Cecelia" by Ventura Salimeni (1607).
