As you enter the cemetary, you will see the flag pole immediatley in front of you. The benchmark is the Gold Ball at the top of the flapole.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1969 (CAA) THE STATION IS THE GOLD BALL ON THE TOP OF THE FLAGPOLE, WHICH IS LOCATED ABOUT 200 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE ENTRANCE GATE TO THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL CEMETERY OF THE PACIFIC. THE CEMETERY IS IN THE PUNCHBOWL CRATER IN HONOLULU AND THE POLE IS 70 FEET HIGH.
