This plaque is about the Recorder House which was used to monitor the rate of flow of water in the Byewash Channel. This is part of the old reservoir workings. Many of the remnants of the reservoir equipment can still be seen. There is a walk all around the reservoir lake itself and the various parts below the dam have been converted into attractive wildlife areas.
