Butterfly gardening Landscape Designer/Owner James Loper showed design tips for creating a butterfly garden at 10 a.m. March 29 at Reflections of Nature Garden Center, 950688 US Hwy 17 South in Yulee. The owners, James and Angie Loper then did a butterfly release from their butterfly house.
Each year they ready the house for the new batch of butterflies with new plants and shrubs that are healthy for butterflies and help them to sustain their lives while in the Butterfly House. They have everything they need to survive and be protected and thrive. Then in March each year they are released back into nature.
We spoke with the owners and they gave us a wonderful tour explaining that now was the between times for the butterflies and that they had been released this year.
There were still numerous plants and yes, even butterflies still living here. Even though they were given their freedom some came back because of the well stocked butterfly house here.
