Carnegie is a old urban town, just 5 km south of downtown Pittsburgh. Most of the vitality has moved away from its downtown district, with shops relocating to large shopping centers with large parking areas. The town now is mostly visited on weekends and evenings by people looking for bars or a inexpensive old-style restaurant.
