Closed in 2005, and its contents moved to the second floor of a new shopping and commercial building nearby, this building has the same architectural elements of all the eight branch buildings of the city of Pittsburgh Carnegie libraries. Built in red brick, it had no air conditioning (A/C). On the bottom floor, with access from the rear, was a concert hall, with semi-circular seating, with a small stage. Due to cost of maintenance, the building was closed.
