RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1966 (WAZ) THIS WAS NOT AN OCCUPIED STATION THE STATION AND ALL MARKS WERE RECOVERED AND FOUND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. DUE TO CHANGES IN THE AREA, A NEW AND COMPLETE DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 4 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ROGERS, 2.75 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NEGLEY AND ON THE PROPERTY OF THE FRED PANCAKE ESTATE. THE STATION IS IN A LARGE LAWN AREA, 133 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A HOUSE, 126 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE NO. 170, 106 FEET SOUTH OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A PAVED ROAD, 43 FEET WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A BLOCK BUILDING, AND 5 FEET EAST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A CINDER DRIVE. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 14-INCH, SQUARE, FLUSH, CONCRETE MONUMENT AND THE DISK IS STAMPED PAN 1949. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS 120 FEET SOUTH OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A PAVED ROAD, 111 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A HOUSE, 93 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE NO. 170, 42 FEET EAST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A CINDER DRIVE, AND 2.3 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A BLOCK BUILDING. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 14-INCH, SQUARE, CONCRETE MONUMENT THAT PROJECTS 1 INCH AND THE DISK IS STAMPED PAN NO 1 1949. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS IN THE CENTER OF THE CINDER DRIVE, 137 FEET SOUTH OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A PAVED ROAD, 135 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE NO. 170, 103 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A HOUSE, AND 43.5 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A BLOCK BUILDING. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 14-INCH, SQUARE, CONCRETE MONUMENT THAT PROJECTS 1 INCH AND THE DISK IS STAMPED PAN NO 2 1949. . THE HORIZONTAL MEASURED DISTANCE BETWEEN REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 AND REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 42.25 FEET. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS LOCATED ABOUT 0.25 MILE SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE STATION, 38 FEET SOUTH OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A DRIVEWAY, 35 FEET EAST OF A POWERLINE BRACE POLE NO. 329 N40, 27 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE NO. 170, 12 FEET NORTH OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A CINDER DRIVE, AND 4 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF A 6-INCH SPRUCE TREE. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 14-INCH, SQUARE, FLUSH, CONCRETE MONUMENT AND THE DISK IS STAMPED PAN 1949. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTE NO. 170 AND STATE ROUTE NO. 154 IN NEGLEY, GO SOUTHWESTERLY ON STATE ROUTE NO. 170 FOR 2.9 MILES TO A CROSSROAD AT THE PANCAKE STORE AND NURSERIES, AND THE STATION IN THE SOUTHWEST ANGLE IN LAWN AREA AS DESCRIBED. TO REACH THE AZIMUTH MARK FROM THE STATION, CONTINUE SOUTHWESTERLY ON STATE ROUTE NO. 170 FOR 0.2 MILE TO THE MARK ON THE RIGHT AS DESCRIBED.
