The Walla Walla County Courthouse (1916) is an imposing structure. The 1891 Hall of Records Building is located to the left and the 1906 former Jail and Sheriff's office is to the right. In front of the courthouse is a 1911 statue of Christopher Columbus, provided by the Italian community in Walla Walla, who brought the sweet onion industry to the area.
