In the 1850's, Betty's Kitchen served mining camps set up in the area. These days, it is a popular getaway for sightseers and locals alike. The building is long gone, but the interest in the area remains. There is a lake area for fishing--blue gill, bass, and catfish and shaded picnic tables. Restrooms are nearby. There is an interpretive trail with plenty of flora and fauna, with many birds. There is a $10.00-a-day use fee. 2wd drive is okay. Bring hats, sunglasses, water, a camera and binoculars. Also, wear comfortable shoes.
