Sgt. Andrew Lorish was awarded the Medal of Honor on 27 Sept. 1864 for action served in Winchester,Va. 19 Sept. 1864. On that day, while under fire, he captured the enemy flag from it's bearer, disarmed it's defenders, and returned to his lines.
He is intered in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica, NY .
