This is 1 of several monuments in the Wesley Bolin Memorial Park that is across the street from the capital building in Phoenix.
This 11 foot statue of an Arizona Peace Officer dominates the center of the plaza. His head is bowed paying homage to all the Arizona law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The names of these officers are etched in the statue base.
This statue is just part of this memorial. If you walk off to the side you will see another monument to those that have fallen & are just as important. They are the K9's that were partners of some officers & who lost thier lives as well.
Please take a moment to reflect. To not only remember the human officers but thier non human partners that gave their all as well.
