Corporal TWH Veale VC 8th Battalion Devonshire Regiment.
THEODORE VEALE
Born Dartmouth, 11th November 1893,
Died 6th November 1980.
Awarded the Victoria Cross for most
conspicious bravery in the gallant
rescue under enemy fire of
Lieutenant Eric Savill during the
battle of the Somme
on 20th July 1916.
