"The Stansbury House is a Victorian home that has been a part of Chico since 1883. It was the residence of a medical doctor by the name of Oscar Stansbury and his wife, Libbie. Since that time, it was listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places in 1974 and is now the property of The City of Chico. However, the Stansbury Preservation Society helps to fund and maintain the 19th century historic house as a museum for all to see. Tours cost $2 for adults, $1 for students, and free for children under 10. Every year, the house hosts an Ice Cream Social." (
