After a long hard day on the snow, drop into Lorenz's Bar & Cafe, grab a drink and wait until it starts getting dark because that's when the CocaCola Fireworks Spectacular begins (around 7.15pm)!

The Coca-Cola Fireworks Spectacular held annually at the Whakapapa Ski Field has been moved forward to 23 August, a little earlier than previous years. There’ll be the usual barbeques and sparklers for the kids as well as a DJ and music. Under a cold clear night sky the Ruapehu Skifield with Coca Cola provides this impressive fireworks display with the snowy Mt Ruapehu as the ultimate backdrop, coinciding with the school holidays to celebrate another successful ski season.

Watching from above Happy Valley at the Top O'The Bruce, gazing up towards the Centennial Chairlift and Meads Wall, you can marvel at the pyrotechnics and stay warm next to the blazing braziers. As they say...it's fun for the whole family!

A band will be playing and there'll be lots of Coke as well as sausages from the barbeque. A fabulous night of fun with a spectacular fireworks display for FREE!
