The 1 plaque reads:
The purpose of these local control surveys is to place durable monuments of concrete with similar brass caps at convenient places so as to provide dependable reference points for engineering and surveying projectsand to determine their exact geographical position. Under these CWA and FERA projects there have been placed one hundred and fifty monuments in Wayne County, each marked on the brass cap with its code number the geographical data for any monument may be obtained from US Coast and Geodetic Survey Department of Commerce Washington DC

The 2 plaque reads:
In the summer of 2006 this monument was reconstructed to its original condition as established in the 1930's with the Plymouth Community Veterans Park. Mr. Ralph Landini PS Regeister of Deeds Ambit Land surveyors and Gillels Webster Engineers a Brass disk was affixed hereto and observted with GPS to determine its gheodetic position.

The preservation of this monument was undertaken in memory of the generations of Land Surveyors who helped develop the original surveys in Wayne County and the State of Michigan assuring the location of land ownership roads, highways and utilities.
