The Joseph Richardson house at the southwest corner of Bellevue and Maple Avenues was built in 1738. The vernacular house was considered nearly too elaborate for the Quaker community. The 2-1/2-story house constructed of limestone and served as both a family home and a general store. The home was converted to a community center however now serves as the home of the Peace Center, a center for Education in Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention.
