The Northeast Diagonal Trail includes construction of approximately 2.9 miles of continuous pedestrian and bicycle trail through Southeast and Northeast Minneapolis, St. Anthony (Hennepin County) and into western Roseville (Ramsey County).

The proposed trail extends from Elm St. S.E. / 18th Ave. S.E. (along Stinson Blvd.) and Broadway St. N.E. / New Brighton Blvd. (along New Brighton Blvd.) to the Stinson Blvd. /New Brighton Blvd. intersection and to the Hennepin/Ramsey County line where it connects to the City of Roseville County Road B-2 Trail. The project also includes a ramp connection to existing sidewalk on the north side of St. Anthony Blvd. The project is located with existing Hennepin County and Hennepin County Regional Rail Authority (HCRRA) right-of-way.
