The route has been developed by Warwickshire County Council since 1989, working in partnership with Sustrans, to produce a high quality surfaced path suitable for cyclists, walkers and wheelchair users.

Milcote Car Park (Co-ords above)

Milcote. Mid-point. Head to Stratford or Long Marston.
If you keep quiet, you may hear the song of the skylarks which nest here.

The route to Stratford crosses the Avon using the multispan Stannals Bridge.

The route away from Stratford passes through peaceful countryside to the village of Long Marston.

Carriages 5344 cafe is set inside a restored original 1967 GWR Railway carriage, to create a refreshment stop at mid point on the Stratford Greenway at the Milcote picnic site.

The Cafe serves drinks and a large variety of food, including an all day breakfast, which has proved to be a great success.

The Carriage has disabled facilities and is popular with walkers, cyclists and with a car park opposite, the less energetic can still enjoy the refreshment stop.
