The memorial honoring the Officers of the Columbus Police Department who have fallen in the line of duty is located on the mezzanine of the public lobby of the Columbus Public Safety Building located at 510 10th Street in Columbus, Georgia. The memorial consists of a statue of a Columbus Police Officer holding a young girl in his arms and gazing out over the street in front of the Public Safety Building. This statue was originally erected on the plaza of the Columbus Government Center in the early 1980’s and was moved to its current location in 1995 as a part of the dedication of the Public Safety Building. The names of the fallen officers are inscribed on five glass plates mounted to brass plaques placed on the columns facing the statue. There is a sixth plaque that honors fallen firefighters from the Columbus Fire Department co-located with those honoring the Police Officers.

The lighting and composition of the glass plates make them hard to photograph in a way to make the writing legible on the photograph so each of the Officers killed in the line of duty while serving with the Columbus Police Department are listed here along with the date they fell:
