The Methodist Chapel in Eggleston is alongside the road to Stanhope. This chapel was formerly a Wesleyan chapel and was built in 1828, with a schoolroom being added in 1881. A lintel in the front elevation bears the inscription "Wesleyan Chapel 1828". The Sunday school has the date 1881 over the door. The interior is in good condition but has been extensively modernised.
