"Located east of the California Science Center, the SKETCH Foundation Gallery stands as one of the unique features of Exposition Park, with its dramatic concrete and metal design by world-renown architect, Frank Gehry. A jet fighter plane perched precariously on the side of the building adds to its dynamic exterior, while the 75-foot
ceiling of the multi-leveled interior allows the suspended air and spacecraft to seem airborne. The building, originally known as Aerospace Hall and part of the former California Museum of Science and Industry, was closed in 1998 for building renovations and to update the exhibition experience. The SKETCH Foundation
Gallery of the California Science Center is uniquely positioned to offer visitors a one-of-a-kind experience, through interactive exhibits coupled with real air and spacecraft, providing a balanced program that is not simply a history of air and space." (
