In 1950 Chester Mysliwiec and family started a racing tradition. Berlin Raceway, as he named it, has seen it all through the years. From its humble dirt track beginnings, Berlin Raceway, now a 7/16 mile paved oval with 13-degree banking in the turns and 9 degree banking on the straightaways, has grown into one of the premier short tracks in America.
Berlin Raceway has one of the strongest fan bases for grass roots racing in the nation. Berlin has packed in thousands of race fans a year for over 50 years. More than 5 million race fans have spent their Saturday nights at this legendary track.
Berlin Raceway is located just five miles west of Grand Rapids on I-96, Exit 23 (Marne), at 2060 Berlin Fair Drive, Marne, MI 49435.
Berlin Raceway hosts five stock car racing divisions on a weekly basis, on Saturday nights from April through September. More than 100 drivers compete for points each week in one of these five divisions: recreational 4-Cylinder (15-lap features), entry-level Sportsman (20-lap features), advanced entry-level Pro Stock (25-lap features), mid-level Super Stock (30-lap features) and top-level Late Model (50-lap features). In addition, many special events, such as 100-lap Late Model invitational races, highlight the schedule, as well as prestigious traveling series such as ARCA, CRA Super Series, ASA, Auto Value Super Sprints and ISMA Supermodifieds.
