The hike is less than a mile, but it's straight up and will really get your blood pumping - but not as much as the views will.

There are a number of outstanding viewpoints on Windbeam Mountain. The coords point to a nice easterly view, but but within a few hundred feet there are a few more great easterly views as well as some westerly and southerly viewpoints.

Quickest access is via the Stone Town Circular trail, which you can catch on Stonetown Road a short distance from parking at the athletic fields.

It's not a long hike, but there is significant elevation gain along the route (700 feet in under 1/2 mile), so be in shape, or be prepared to take it slow.
