Driving along Hwy 395 the shrine sticks up above the flat, barren landscape. A short driveway off the highway takes you to this Buddhist Meditation Center which appeared to have been recently completed when I discovered it in March, 2008. The gates were open, no sign of anyone around, an old trailer and some sheds, tables and chairs, at the NW end of the property, but I could not tell if the buildings were part of the public area.
