[FR] Construit en 1774 par l'architecte Jean-François Leroy pour le prince Louis-Joseph de Bourbon-Condé, le Hameau est antérieur au Hameau de la reine Marie-Antoinette à Trianon, qu'il inspira. Il se compose de cinq maisonnettes d'aspect rustique, dont l'extérieur modeste tranchait avec le décor intérieur luxueux ou étonnant, selon le cas : ainsi, dans la Salle à manger, grande chaumière centrale, figurait un sous-bois grâce à un décor en trompe-l'oil.
[EN] Built in 1774 by the architect Jean François Leroy for Prince Louis Joseph de Bourbon Condé, Le Hameau was built before, and in fact later inspired, Le Hameau in the Trianon of Versailles of Queen Marie Antoinette. It comprises five peasant-style hamlets, whose modest exteriors hide either luxurious or surprising interiors, depending on the case; for example, in the Salle à Manger (Dining room), the large central thatched house, a trompe l'oeil gives the impression that it is an undergrowth.
