The Point Judith Light is a 51 foot octagenal brownstone tower, painted white on the bottom and brown on the top, with an occulating white light.

The Point Judith Light marks the entrance to the Narragansett Bay to the north and the Block Island Sound to the south. The original lighthouse was a wooden octagenal tower built in 1810 but was destroyed in a storm in September of 1815. The lighthouse was replaced with a stone tower in 1816. The current lighthouse was built in 1857. The lighthouse is equiped with a fourth-order Fresnel lens and is still an active aid to navigation.
There are two smaller buildings near the tower an Oil House built in 1917 and a fog signal building (to contain the air compressor for the fog signal) in 1923. All three structures are on the grounds of the Point Judith Coast Guard Station and although the lighthouse is not open to the public the Coast Guard have made the grounds open and accessible to the public during the day.
