This garden (with its central fountain) was generously provided to Bethany College by Aleece Gresham.
When I walked up the path on campus, I had no idea I would find such a beautiful and peaceful site. The garden surrounds a basic fountain feature, but decorated in a beautiful manner. The plants around the fountain are shaped like a flower blocking us from the fountain itself...which on a college campus might be a very good idea. In the nice weather this area may be swarming with students enjoying the serenity. At times you may even see a professor teaching a class around the fountain!!
Come to visit bethany and be sure to check out the fountain and many other sites nearby. The Centenostone is right up the steps as is a time capsule. Go down the steps and be greeted with the Oglebay Gates. Old Main, a building listed on the NRHP in 1990, sits right behind the fountain. Old Main is the centerpiece of Bethany's academic buildings with is tower dominating over the campus.
In your log please include some pictures and let me know if students were on campus or not. Would really like to know what this area is like on your basic school day.
