Located on the south side of Sunday Lake, next to the Wakefield Visitor's Center. Rumor has it that there is a 1/3 scale brother statue located at Wilderness Chalet at Indianhead Mountain Resort. The resort was closed, so I could not confirm this.

The Smithsonian Art Inventories web site (
visit link) lists this information:
A tall head of Native-American Indian Nee-Gaw-Nee-Gaw-Bow, with a feathered headdress and a pendant around his neck. The sculpture is placed atop a circular base and is situated on a wooden deck that juts out over the water.
