If you come into Laurel Acres park using he Church Street entrance, you will have a leisurely walk to the memorial. It sits across from the pond and fountains, back flanked by a great hill.

The area is quite beautiful with many activities for the children. Besides an American flag a POW/MIA flag is also displayed.
The plaque reads: "In honor of those who served our country in war and peace." You would be hard pressed to fin d a better site for this memorial. It is worth checking out for yourself as pictures do not do it justice.
