Another beautiful, huge, well-maintained and heavily landscaped home. There is a big, awful tree in the front which needs to go. It blocks out an entire portion of the front. One misses many details as this once appropriate piece of landscaping has now run amok. One notable attraction of this home is the butterfly garden on the right side. It was swarming with all sort of winged beast while I visited. There was butterfly bush, weed, lily, pea & flower as well as all other kinds of blooming flowers.
Located at 321 Chester Avenue a quarter mile or so from downtown Moorestown, this is one of 351 contributing buildings/structures to this historic district.
The Department of the Interior sent me the following narrative/information on this house:
"c.1850. 2 ½ story, 4-register Greek Revival-style house, frame resided with vinyl. Early-20th-century Colonial Revival porch and side sum porch with entrance into side of house. Replacement 1/1 double hung sash, paneled shutters at first floor likely original. Asphalt gabled roof, pedimented dormers. - Contributing.”
