This is one of many contributing homes to the Moorestown Historic District which line Chester Avenue. Most of these homes are extremely huge and heavily landscaped compared to their Main Street counterparts, less than a half mile away.

The details and majesty of these homes are somewhat lost in the photos. There are just too many details to capture. This home is truly beautiful and serves as wonderful reminder to the bygone days of quality over quantity and architectural integrity over cookie-cutter, slap-together construction.
Located at 317 Chester Avenue a few hundred feet or so from downtown Moorestown, this is one of 351 contributing buildings/structures to this historic district.
The Department of the Interior sent me the following narrative/information on this house:
"c.1855. 2 ½ story, 3-register Victorian frame cottage, clapboarded. Porch-fronted, chamfered posts, bracketed cornice. Central 5-light transomed entrance, glazed and paneled door, entablature frontispiece. First floor window 1/1 double hung; second floor 2/2 double hung with louvered shutters. Two-story polygonal bay inn northerly bay of front facade; paneled, round-arched 1/1 double hung windows. Bracketed cornice on south side. Box cornice, bracketed, standing seam metal roof. Interior end chimney. - Contributing.”
