The National Buffalo Museum is operated by the North Dakota Buffalo Foundation whose mission is to foster awareness of the cultural and historical significance of the North American bison. The museum holds exhibits dedicated to the history of bison on the plains, as well as Plains Indians artifacts, artwork, 19th century firearms used by the buffalo hunter, remains of prehistoric bison, a children’s room featuring wildlife of North Dakota, and video presentation about the history of bison.
The museum grounds also is home to a live heard of bison, including three white buffalo, White Cloud, Dakota Miracle (born Aug 2007), and Dakota Legend (born May 2008).
Admission Fees: $5 adults
$4 seniors/AAA members
$10 families (mom, dad, minor children)
$1 students (age 7-18)
FREE children 6 and under
$75 group rate (15 or more adults, 19 or more seniors)
