The memorial is located to the left of the Legion building. There is a memorial plaque which describes the park and tis purpose and a stone which bears the inscription of two local fighting men who died in action during World War II.

As far as the post building: This American Legion post is located inside a stand alone home from 1926. There two entrances. There is an anchor surrounded by concrete medallions of various armed service branches.

1. German 7.5 CM PAK 40 Anti Tank Gun:
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 (7.5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 40) was a German 7.5 centimetres (3 in) anti-tank gun developed in 1939-1941 by Rheinmetall and used during the Second World War.

2. US Army 57 MM Anti Tank Gun
The United States Army also adopted the the British QF 6-pounder 7 cwt (also known as 6 pdr) as their primary anti-tank gun under the designation 57mm Gun M1. This British anti tank gun was also a 57 mm gun, their primary anti-tank gun during the middle of World War II.

This weapon was in service from 1942–1960. It was produced from 1941–1945, after being designed in 1940. It takes a crew of 6 and has a maximum range of 5,000 yards. It was only used in World War II.

We dedicate it in the name of those who offered their lives so Justice, Freedom and Democracy might survive to be the victorious ideals of the peoples of the world. The lives of those who have made the supreme sacrifice are glorious before us; their deeds are an inspiration. As they served America in a time of war, yielding their last full measure of devotion, may we serve America in time of peace. We dedicate this memorial to them, and with it we dedicate this Post to the faithful service of our country and to the memory of those who died that liberty might live.
