This caboose once was used on the freight division of the Chicago South Shore and and South Bend Railroad, or the South Shore Line. The caboose is painted orange like the GP38-2's that run the freight line.
This caboose sits on display on the standard gauge track of the Predominantly narrow gauge Hesston steam museum.
