Beaumont, located seven miles south of 1-90 along the Grand River in Ashtabula County, is a full-service Scout Reservation on 1,260 acres of forests, fields, wetlands and lakes. Operating as a summer camp every year since 1946, Beaumont has grown into a complete reservation with facilities for Cub Scouting, winter camping, training courses as well as the Boy Scout camp described here for your troop.
The camp's leaders and staff serve troops by providing a great range of options for camping.
Troops camping in the Broadbent sub-camp eat their meals prepared and served family-style in the camp dining hall; you can do your own patrol cooking at a campsite in the McCahill sub-camp. Troops can select a standard campsite with a large, roofed pavilion and plenty of area for setting up patrol tents. Starting in 2001, troops also have the option of reserving a campsite with platform tents already in place when they arrive. In addition, special needs troops may choose a troop lodge as their campsite; one of which has a ramp.
