Follow the East side of the river for the best view, or the West side for a good view with plaques to read. The posted coordinates are rather challenging to reach but good views can be found on both trails.

From the given parking you will need to walk about 1km as the crow flies to reach these falls. The more common path is on the West side of the river, but a more peaceful route can be found on the East side but it is far more rugged.
The falls themselves measure about 30 feet in height, and are best viewed in the Spring season after the Winter thaw or during periods of frequent rainfall. During the Summer and Autumn the stream dries up considerably making this not as beautiful as the gallery images illustrate.
Much is made of the lower falls, but this gem is definitely worth a visit and it should be noted that Ball's Falls Conservation Area has an entry fee. See Ball's Falls CA for details.
