The First Presbyterian Church also known as the New School Presbyterian Church was built in 1854. The Romanesque styled church building was designed by George Browning Reed. The church building is well maintained and continues to serve the Presbyterian congregation in Troy.

The church is listed as an American Presbyterian and Reformed Historical Site by the Presbyterian Historical Society.
