The Hawkesbury River bridge forms part of the 'Old Pacific Hwy' between Newcastle and Sydney. With the new F3 freeway built in the 1980's this bridge is only used by locals and tourists trying to get off the beaten track.

Length of Span:
The two main K-Truss spans are each 438 feet long. To the north of the truss spans, the bridge has eight long and eight short steel girder spans. The bridge deck to these spans is also cast insitu concrete.
