One of twenty-two Hobart welded steel homes built between 1932 and 1941. The all steel houses were constructed by the Hobart Welded Steel House Company. The house is constructed of all welded steel including floors, exterior and interior walls, ceiling and roof. The kitchen and bathroom cabinetry were also constructed of welded steel. The houses was constructed at the company's site on West Main Street in Troy, Ohio and moved to the site by flatbed truck. This house in in their more common Georgian Revival style.
