The Rockford Armory was built in 1937 as a depression era W.P.A. project. The Art Deco styled armory was designed by firm of Bradley & Bradley. The armory was was used by the local National Guard units from its time of construction until 1998. Along with the many National Guard activities in the building the Armory was used often as a community center for many events throughout its history. The Armory is currently vacant however appears to be fairly well maintained.
