PB0675 - NGS F791, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This vertical control point is located about 0.15 miles south of Lava Cast Forest Road along the old 1926 alignment of Hwy 97 about 20 feet northwest of the old centerline. The rod and logo cap were set by the National Geodetic Survey in 1988 and the rim of the logo camp is stamped F791. There is a orange marker post nearby.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 21.0 KM (13.05 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 97 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN LAPINE, THENCE 3.1 KM (1.95 MI) NORTHEAST ALONG THE OLD ABANDONED HIGHWAY, A METAL ROD DRIVEN 1.5 METERS AND FLUSH WITH GROUND, 5.9 M (19.4 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF THE OLD HIGHWAY, 0.3 M (1.0 FT) SOUTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST, AND LEVEL WITH THE OLD HIGHWAY. NOTE--ACCESS TO THE DATUM POINT IS THROUGH A 5-INCH LOGO CAP.
