This park leads to footbridge over the Cowichan River to the Duck Pond, a safe place to swim with kids in clean fresh water with a floating dock for swimming to and from, playground and picnic tables with shady trees.
In 1999 the old rail trestle and footbridge were removed, a new footbridge The Old Rail abutment was removed and the new Ohtaki Park was built.
