The Annie Pfeiffer Chapel was the first by Frank Lloyd Wright, built on the campus and named for philathropist Annie Pfeiffer. From the chapel itself, you cannot see directly outside although much light filters into it from the skylights in the wrought iron steeple and from the many colored glass insets.
Begun in 1939 and completed in 1941 at a cost of $100,000, it is considered the cornerstone of the master plan that Frank Lloyd Wright had for this small campus. Wright personally supervised the construction, which was done partly by FSC students.
Florida Southern College contains the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in one location.
