This convention center was originally called The Convention Center at OnCenter, since its opening in 1992. However, it recently was renamed after outgoing 20 year County Executive, Nicholas J. Pirro on December 7th, 2007. This convention center covers 99,000 square feet, with 9,200 square feet of rentable space. There is also a 1,000 car parking garage attached to the center. Also there is a War Memorial, Civic Center, and 350 room Westin Hotel, (set to be complete in 2009), at this location.
