This clock, apparently not working at the time of the photo, stands on the corner of the block to the south and on the grounds of the Platte County Courthouse.

The clock is surrounded by numerous commemorative, civic, memorial, and historic items of public interest. There is a rare obelisk, sundial, obelisk, and Civil War Memorial.
