After performing an online search for information on this old mill, I didn't find a lot of information. I found the website for the Coffehouse that is now there (
visit link) and also a page from the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce. Unfortunately the Chamber of Commerce page would not load up.
It was late for a Sunday and they weren't open. Can't wait to go there again and actually check it out. Anyway...
As you can see from the exterior, this old mill was once a flour mill. The water wheel's wood looks like it hasn't seen any water for some time, but it's safe to assume that it was up and running at one time. This mill sits on the bank of the Cass River, named after Michigan's first territorial governor.
