Very little history about this clock could be found. Marker located beneath the clock was dedicated to E. N. Berry, of Berry's Durg Store, placed in 1993. Functional unit, that sits on an island between Main Street and the road that runs in front of the old post office. Anyone traveling traveling south on US Hwy 27 will see this nicely preserved town clock.
