This siren is designated as # 700. It has a 5500 ft audible radius at 128 db. The coordinates are at the base of the siren pole. The City of Rockwall maintains 11 outdoor emergency warning sirens which are strategically placed throughout the city. These sirens are audibly tested on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

The purpose of these sirens is to warn citizens, who may be outdoors, of an imminent severe weather event in the community. These sirens are not intended to warn citizens who may be indoors at the time of the event. When the sirens are sounded, citizens who are outdoors should quickly move indoors and seek appropriate shelter, and those already indoors should remain indoors until safe conditions have been restored. I will try to capture all 11 of Rockwall’s sirens.
