The stone memorial is located directly in front of the park's bandshell. There is also a small plaque on the short brick wall surrounding the park that reads: "Martin Luther King Jr. Mini Park. Dedicated January 15, 1987. Presented by Renaissance Club Inc. of Salem, New Jersey."
