The Remembrance Monument, a white cenotaph with a wreath decoration and plaques to remember the soldiers lost in the wars.

There is another smaller monument, originally a fountain, close by in memory of New Zealand's first soldier killed in action, in the Boer War.
Every year on Anzac Day, 25th April, ANZAC Remembrance services are held at the cenotaph on Primrose Hill where wreaths and poppies are laid.
"They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
